Preview: Sterling Raiders vs. Madison Marlins
Two dominant signal callers in Jacques Brown and Camben Emanuel are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Sterling Raiders will be playing at home against the Madison Marlins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sterling's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matches.
Sterling can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They blew past Wisdom, posting a 34-6 win on the road.
Elijah Jackson and Brown were among the main playmakers for Sterling as the former rushed for 94 yards on only seven carries and the latter rushed for 109 yards on only nine carries.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Madison's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They fell to Wisdom 14-8. The low total for Madison limited their streak of high-flying scores to five in a row.
Sterling's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points per game. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Sterling took their victory against Madison when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a conclusive 27-7. Does Sterling have another victory up their sleeve, or will Madison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
