Piedmont got a great performance from Jacob Heh as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Heh has been consistent recently: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Piedmont let Trent Polk and Ethan Harvey loose on the outfield. Polk went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and a run, while Harvey scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Slusher, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
