Softball Recap: Skyridge Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Skyridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lone Peak Knights on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-1 win. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Callie Baker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Baker was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Awtumn Lorenzo, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hudson Ford, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Skyridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Skyridge's record now sits at 13-15. As for Lone Peak, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

As of now, neither Skyridge nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
