Football Recap: Mogollon's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mogollon can now relate to. They fell 48-38 to the Hayden Lobos on Friday. Despite 124 more yards than the Lobos, the Mustangs couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the loss, Mogollon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jett Reidhead rushed for 101 yards and two scores, and also threw for 280 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. Yovanni Suarez also helped out with an impressive 158 receiving yards.

Kino Lorona produced another solid effort rushing for 185 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries for Hayden. Lorona has been hot for a while, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last 18 times he's played. Another rusher making a difference was Tyler Garner, who gained 89 total yards and two touchdowns.

With the defeat, Mogollon broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for Hayden, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

Mogollon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hayden, they will take on Bagdad at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Lobos will need to watch out since the Sultans have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.
