Bandys took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Maiden, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bandys Trojans skirted past the Maiden Blue Devils 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since April 29, 2024.

Piper Barrymore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Paige Barrymore was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Alexander, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Maiden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Bandys will square off against Newton-Conover at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bandys is facing Newton-Conover at the right time seeing as Newton-Conover is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Maiden, they will challenge Bunker Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bunker Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
