Roosevelt waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the McDaniel Mountain Lions 12-4. The Roughriders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.
Ruby Frish was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Zulaykha Armstrachan was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
