Basketball Game Preview: Paragould Rams vs. West Memphis Blue Devils

Paragould hasn't had much luck against West Memphis recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Paragould has given up an average of 57.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Paragould came up short against Nettleton and fell 80-68.

West Memphis not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 16, 2025 (when they won 69-42). They blew past Searcy 69-48. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Blue Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Lions are ranked 94th).

The victory made it two in a row for West Memphis and bumps their season record up to 14-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points over those games. As for Paragould, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Paragould came up short against West Memphis in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-52. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
