Football Game Preview: Charlton County Indians vs. Clinch County Panthers

The Charlton County Indians will challenge the Clinch County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Charlton County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lanier County 48-20 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Indians considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Clinch County strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 61-14 victory over Irwin County. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Charlton County better keep an eye on Traviian Miller. He was instrumental in Clinch County's win, throwing for 402 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 64 yards and one TD on only six carries. Those eight passing touchdowns gave Miller a new career-high. 86 of Miller's passing yards were hauled in by Travis Miller, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Clinch County's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Charlton County, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Charlton County ended up a good deal behind Clinch County in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, losing 51-37. Thankfully for the Indians, Aaron Bryant (who rushed for 161 yards and four scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 210 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
