Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Mesa Verde's 11th in Last 12 Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vacaville Christian, Mesa Verde was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lindhurst Blazers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Monday.

Mesa Verde walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-23, 25-12, 26-24.

Mathew Garcia paced Mesa Verde's offense, picking up ten kills. Garcia got some help from Vernon Stahl and his 25 assists. Garcia was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Mesa Verde is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Lindhurst, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coincidentally, Mesa Verde and Lindhurst will both be playing Golden Sierra the next time they take the court. The Blazers will head out to face the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Mavericks will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
