Basketball Recap: Colonial Beach Takes a Loss

Colonial Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sussex Central Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Drifters still had to take the loss.

Colonial Beach's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sussex Central, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Colonial Beach won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colonial Beach knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully West Point likes a good challenge. As for Sussex Central, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Altavista at 5:30 p.m. on December 26th.
