Softball Recap: Burbank Titans vs. West Campus Warriors
Burbank extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 2-13 in the process. They came up short against the West Campus Warriors, falling 17-2. Having soared to a lofty 32 runs in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.
As for West Campus, their record now sits at 11-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by 11 runs or more this season.
For West Campus' part, Analisa Mederos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Mederos has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Milana Hess, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, seven RBI, and two stolen bases. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Miriya Yeung was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.
