Softball Recap: Burbank Titans vs. West Campus Warriors
Burbank had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-13 to make it five. They came up short against the West Campus Warriors, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 back in April.
As for West Campus, their record is now 11-8. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than ten runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
For West Campus' part, Analisa Mederos was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Mederos has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Milana Hess was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, seven RBI, and two stolen bases. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miriya Yeung, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.
As of now, neither Burbank nor West Campus have any future games scheduled.
