Baseball Recap: Hightstown Find Success

Hightstown won the last time they faced Ewing and things went their way on Friday too. The Rams walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Blue Devils. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

The team relied heavily on Devon Decker, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Jordan Klim was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Hightstown hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ewing struck out eight times.

Hightstown's win bumped their record up to 15-3-1. As for Ewing, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Hightstown will square off against Burlington Township at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ewing, they will challenge Palmyra at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
