Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Kodiaks vs. Bridgeport Mustangs

The Cascade Kodiaks will venture away from home to square off against the Bridgeport Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cascade will be strutting in after a win while Bridgeport will be coming in after a loss.

Cascade will head into Saturday's game on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Entiat on Saturday. Cascade breezed by Entiat to the tune of 40-10. The Kodiaks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against Brewster, falling 72-22. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Bears are ranked 57th).

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Cascade, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Cascade was able to grind out a solid win over Bridgeport when the teams last played back in January of 2018, winning 47-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cascade since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
