Basketball Game Preview: Del Sol Dragons vs. Reed Raiders

Two dominant guards in Sabrina Stewart and Faanaetaua Puloka are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Del Sol Dragons and the Reed Raiders will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Reed is hoping to do what Boulder City couldn't on Friday: put an end to Del Sol's winning streak, which now stands at five games. Del Sol simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Boulder City 70-40. 70 seems to be a good number for the Dragons as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Reed entered their tilt with Pahrump Valley on Friday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They claimed a resounding 56-16 win over the Trojans. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Trojans are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Del Sol's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Reed, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
