Recap: Davis Darts vs. Cyprus Pirates
The Davis Darts put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 53-19 win over Cyprus at home. Davis might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 21 points or more this season.
Davis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kate Willard, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Willard grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Kitchen, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds and six steals.
Davis pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cyprus, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Davis will head out on the road to face off against American Fork at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. American Fork will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Davis is ranked second). Cyprus will be home for the holidays to greet Pleasant Grove at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Grove is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
