Baseball Recap: Dade Christian Triumphs

Dade Christian won the last time they faced South Miami and things went their way on Thursday too. The Dade Christian Warriors had just enough and edged out the South Miami Cobras 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since April 4, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Brian Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Yael Amador was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Dade Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. South Miami has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dade Christian will challenge Coral Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Miami, they will square off against TERRA Environmental at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
