Baseball Recap: Logan Takes a Loss

Logan lost against Magdalena on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns came up short against the Steers, falling 15-2. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aydin Kotara was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Wall, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Logan's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Magdalena, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Logan is set to challenge their familiar foe Grady at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Magdalena will take on rival Cimarron at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Steers' favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Rams have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
