Basketball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Elgin Maroons had to suffer through a 59-14 loss at the hands of the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs. The game marked the Maroons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Elgin and nudges their season record down to 6-18. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-20 record this season.

Elgin will challenge Buffalo Grove at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Glenbard East at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
