Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage had lost six straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-15 to make it seven. They lost 15-0 to the Sebastian River Sharks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

As for Sebastian River, their record now sits at 14-10. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won eight contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

For Sebastian River's part, Kiera Carow was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Carow was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Madisyn Darling was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rily Biggers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither Heritage nor Sebastian River have any future games scheduled.
