Football Game Preview: Smith-Cotton Tigers vs. Battle Spartans

Smith-Cotton hasn't had much luck against Battle recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Smith-Cotton ended up a good deal behind Hickman and lost 33-14.

Although Smith-Cotton took the loss, they still got scores from Dax Wiskur and Koleman Fredrickson.

Meanwhile, Battle scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a blow against Camdenton, falling 53-24. The Spartans were down 38-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Battle's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Smith-Cotton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Smith-Cotton took a serious blow against Battle when the teams last played back in September of 2022, falling 50-15. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 22-0.
