Baseball Recap: Doyle Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Doyle can now relate to. They fell just short of the Jena Giants by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Giants this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-3 defeat on Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Doyle and nudges their season record down to 22-18-1. As for Jena, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-12.

Looking ahead, Jena will face off against Erath on Tuesday. The Bobcats will be paying especially close attention to the Giants' contest: after the Giants face off against the Bobcats, they'll take on the Bobcats again on Tuesday.
