Softball Preview: Ulysses Tigers vs. Stanton County Trojans        
        
		
            
 The Ulysses Tigers will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against the Stanton County Trojans at 4:00  p.m.
 Last Tuesday, Ulysses suffered a  tough 12-1 loss at the hands of Cimarron. Ulysses has struggled against Cimarron recently, as their  contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Meanwhile, Stanton County put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Syracuse with a sharp  18-3 victory. Stanton County's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Kynzi Fehringer made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs but no hits. Fehringer was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-2 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  double.
 In other batting news, Stanton County got a  massive  performance out of  Valeria Ortega, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Mia Miravete, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Ulysses' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Stanton County, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Everything went Ulysses' way against Stanton County in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 as Ulysses made off with  an  8-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ulysses since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
