Baseball Recap: Longmont Wins Going Away Against Skyview

Longmont had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Skyview on Tuesday. The Longmont Trojans put the hurt on the Skyview Wolverines with a sharp 10-0 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Corbin James and Collin Pool did most of the damage at the plate: James scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2, while Pool scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs James has posted since back in April of 2024. Cooper Magley was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Longmont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyview only posted an OBP of .167.

Longmont's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Skyview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Longmont is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Foothills Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Skyview, they will head out to take on Northglenn at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
