Recap: Quantico Warriors vs. Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets

This season hasn't been kind to the Quantico Warriors, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 46-25 walloping at the hands of Randolph-Macon Academy on Thursday. Quantico has not had much luck with Randolph-Macon Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Quantico lost, one person who can't be blamed is Olivia Barry. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Cline, who scored six points.

It was another big night for Kay Perry, who scored 24 points for Randolph-Macon Academy. That's the first time this season that Perry scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bijou Kebbay, who scored 12 points.

Quantico's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quantico won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tandem Friends at 4:00 p.m. on January 12th. Tandem Friends comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, they will be playing at home against King Abdullah Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. King Abdullah Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
