Volleyball Recap: Canyon Lake Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bandera on Tuesday, Canyon Lake came back down to earth. The Hawks came up short against the Davenport Wolves on Friday, falling 3-0. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-21.

Canyon Lake's offense was headlined by Gabby Fory and Preslie Owens, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Chloe Gray and her 19 assists.

Canyon Lake's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 19-12. As for Davenport, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 29-7.

Canyon Lake has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Wimberley on the 7th. As for Davenport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Fredericksburg on the 7th.
