Softball Recap: Green Canyon Comes Up Short

Green Canyon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Orem, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolves fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 15-13 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 on Friday.

Megan Carter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Leah Thompson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Green Canyon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Orem, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-10.

While Green Canyon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
