Soccer Recap: Haywood Takes a Loss

Haywood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Covington Chargers. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Haywood couldn't quite close it out.

Haywood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Covington, their record now sits at 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haywood will square off against McKenzie at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covington, they will take on Jackson Central Merry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
