Volleyball Recap: Johnsburg Comes Up Short at Home Against Richmond-Burton

Johnsburg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Richmond-Burton Rockets on Monday. The Skyhawks have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Kaia Sasak paced Johnsburg's offense, picking up six kills. Sasak got some help from Adelaide Bruns and her eight assists.

Richmond-Burton was led to victory by Mallory Komar and Lanee Cooley. Komar had five aces, while Cooley had 13 digs and two aces.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Johnsburg will take on rival Sandwich at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Richmond-Burton is set to challenge their familiar foe Harvard at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
