            Volleyball Recap: Capital Cougars vs. Winfield Generals        
        
		
        
        
            Capital was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  2-0 to the Winfield Generals. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing  3-0 to the Generals when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 Jaiana Chic paced Capital's offense, picking up six kills. Chic got some help from  Jada Fruit and her 13 assists.  Riana Berkley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18-4. As for Winfield, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 17 of their last 22 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9-2 record  this season.
 Capital will face off against Clay County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Winfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  loss against St. Albans on the 7th.
