Baseball Recap: Westran Comes Up Short

Westran suffered their biggest loss since April 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Macon Tigers, falling 8-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Hornets' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Westran's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Macon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Westran will challenge Monroe City at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Macon, they will take on Clark County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Tigers' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Indians have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
