Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scripps Ranch). Everything went their way against the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots on Thursday as they made off with a 47-27 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won four games in a row.

Scripps Ranch found their leader in sophomore Kennedy McCabe, who threw for 376 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt. Those 376 passing yards set a new season-high mark for McCabe.

Scripps Ranch's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Scripps Ranch will head out to square off against University City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Falcons 14, the Centurions 7.9) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Francis Parker at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
