Volleyball Recap: St. Charles Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

St. Charles entered their tilt with Roger Bacon on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Spartans 3-0.

St. Charles not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Roger Bacon between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 25-19.

Roger Bacon's loss came despite strong showings from Cole Andrews and Andrew Weigand. Andrews had 11 digs, while Weigand had 17 kills and three digs. Weigand is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Teddy Borgert also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

St. Charles' victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for Roger Bacon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coincidentally, St. Charles and Roger Bacon will both be playing Brecksville-Broadview Heights the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Bees at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
