Softball Recap: Villa Park Takes a Loss

If Villa Park was riding high fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Troy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Sonora Raiders by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Spartans have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Villa Park's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Sonora, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Villa Park and Sonora will both be playing El Dorado the next time they take the field. The Spartans will host the Golden Hawks at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
