Basketball Recap: Umatilla Wins Going Away Against Mcloughlin

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vale, Umatilla was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 39-22 victory over the McLoughlin Pioneers. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 53-30 win the Pioneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Umatilla is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for McLoughlin, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Umatilla has already played their next contest (against Burns), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. McLoughlin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-22 defeat against Pendleton on the 29th.
