Basketball Recap: Capital City Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Capital City won the last time they faced Moberly and things went their way on Friday too. The Capital City Cavaliers walked away with a 60-48 win over the Moberly Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Despite the defeat, Moberly saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Collin Knox went 7 for 14 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Amar'E Hawkins, who posted seven points.

Capital City's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Moberly, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Capital City will square off against Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Monday up 226 places (199 vs. 425). Meanwhile, Moberly (ranked 166th) will meet Fulton (ranked 339th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
