Rock Hill takes down J.L. Mann in a playoff battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Rock Hill Bearcats had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots and snuck past 52-50. The win was familiar territory for Rock Hill who now have 21 in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rock Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Hudson, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Hudson is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of De?Ashaj Crawford, who scored 20 points along with two steals.

Despite the loss, J.L. Mann saw an underclassman step up: Imari Richardson dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Caitlin Bowling was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Even though they lost, J.L. Mann smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rock Hill only pulled down five offensive rebounds.

Rock Hill's victory bumped their record up to 27-3. As for J.L. Mann, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-5.

Rock Hill's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sumter at 6:00 p.m. on March 1st. Sumter will roll in looking for their 24th straight victory, something Rock Hill surely won't give up without a fight. J.L. Mann does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
