Recap: Galena Bears vs. Bronaugh Wildcats

The Galena Bears had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against Bronaugh by a score of 68-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Despite the loss, Bronaugh still got an impressive performance from Strauss Banes, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 51.8% of Bronaugh's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Duncan, who scored 13 points along with five steals.

Bronaugh struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Bronaugh will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Liberal at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th.
