Volleyball Recap: Harvard Find Success

Harvard hadn't done well against McCool Junction recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cardinals walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mustangs. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Harvard never let McCool Junction on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-8.

Allee Jarzynka was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had eight digs and one assist. Those eight digs gave her a new career-high.

Harvard's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for McCool Junction, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Harvard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Newman Grove/St. Edward on the 13th. As for McCool Junction, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Palmer on the 13th.
