Volleyball Recap: Kinston Vikings vs. Tarboro Vikings
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beddingfield, Kinston was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past Tarboro 3-0.
Kinston was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-17, 25-18.

Kinston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DIARA GOODING, who had 22 digs and eight aces. GOODING is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was TANIJA SUTTON, who had 18 digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good server: Kinston was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.
Kinston's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Tarboro, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.
