Basketball Recap: Champaign Central Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Champaign Central and Danville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Champaign Central had to settle for second. They fell 46-34 to the Danville Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent defeat being a 47-43 loss last Thursday.

Despite the loss, Champaign Central still got an impressive performance from Alex Parastaran, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Parastaran a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zion Reid, who posted seven points.

Champaign Central dropped their record down to 10-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Danville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-20 record this season.

As of now, neither Champaign Central nor Danville have any future games scheduled.
