Softball Recap: Hampton Bays Baymen vs. Mount Sinai Mustangs
Hampton Bays was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mount Sinai Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 on April 10th.
Hampton Bays got a big performance out of Louise Brumagin, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Shea Egan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Hampton Bays' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Mount Sinai, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Looking ahead, Hampton Bays will face off against Miller Place at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Baymen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mount Sinai, they will challenge Sayville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
