Baseball Game Preview: Brackenridge Eagles vs. Edison Golden Bears

The Brackenridge Eagles will take on the Edison Golden Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Brackenridge faced off against Highlands on Tuesday. Brackenridge put the hurt on Highlands with a sharp 9-3 win.

Brackenridge let Ernesto Nunez and Daniel Ramirez Romo run wild. Nunez scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Ramirez Romo scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Ramirez Romo has become a key player for Brackenridge: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jeffrey Herrera, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Edison sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Jefferson on Tuesday.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Brackenridge, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-10.
