Football Recap: Declo Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Declo and New Plymouth squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Declo had to settle for second. They fell 24-14 to the Pilgrims. Despite 86 more yards than the Pilgrims, the Hornets couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landen Silcock, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Dacx Garrard also helped out with an impressive 94 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Declo and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for New Plymouth, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Declo nor the Pilgrims have any future games scheduled.
