Football Recap: Newark Valley Comes Up Short

Newark Valley lost against Deposit-Hancock back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals came up short against Deposit-Hancock, falling 35-13. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newark Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Deposit-Hancock, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newark Valley will welcome Greene/Oxford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deposit-Hancock, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Harpursville/Afton. Deposit-Hancock will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
