Basketball Recap: Sun Valley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Christ the King + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sun Valley). They secured a 71-66 W over the Christ the King Crusaders on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly five points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sun Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thanasi M Papazis, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine steals. With that strong performance, M Papazis is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Powell, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 18 points.

Sun Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win got Sun Valley back to even at 3-3. As for Christ the King, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Sun Valley will take on Forest Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
