Baseball Game Preview: Drexel Bobcats vs. Midway Vikings

The Drexel Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Midway Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Thursday, Drexel didn't have quite enough to beat Lutheran and fell 3-2. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Midway narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Pleasant Hill 6-5.

Midway has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Drexel, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything went Drexel's way against Midway when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Drexel made off with an 8-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
