Basketball Preview: Lee Central Stallions vs. Andrews Yellowjackets
Lee Central is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Yellowjackets a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Lee Central Stallions will take on the Andrews Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Lee Central is ranked 158th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 166th).
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Lee Central, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-38 loss to the Swamp Foxes. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lee Central in their matchups with the Swamp Foxes: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Lee Central saw an underclassman step up: Jadin Price scored ten points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Price has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chuck Harry, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Even though Andrews has not done well against the Blazers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Andrews skirted past the Blazers 53-51.
Lee Central has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Andrews, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Lee Central came up short against the Yellowjackets in their previous meeting back in January, falling 38-31. Will Lee Central have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
