Basketball Recap: Corvian Community's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Corvian Community had won two straight games and RJ Moore Jr. did his part to make it three on Tuesday. Everything went the Corvian Community Cardinals' way against the Pine Lake Prep Pride as the Corvian Community Cardinals made off with a 73-49 win thanks in part to Moore Jr., who went 9 for 22 to rack up 23 points and seven rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Andre Jackson Jr., who posted nine points and eight assists. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.2% field goal percentage.

Several Pride players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joseph Bruce, who put up 13 points along with five boards and three steals. Ethan Morgan was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Corvian Community's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Pine Lake Prep, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Corvian Community will head out on the road to take on Bradford Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will welcome Community School of Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pine Lake Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.3 points per game this season.
