Volleyball Recap: Nuiqsut Trapper Comes Up Short

Nuiqsut Trapper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Meade River Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat two weeks ago.

Nuiqsut Trapper started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-10, 15-13.

Nuiqsut Trapper's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Meade River, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for another result: Nuiqsut Trapper was given a victory via forfeit against Meade River later that day.
